OREANDA-NEWS  The level of Russia's national debt is one of the lowest in the world. This was stated by Acting Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during the consideration by the State Duma of his candidacy for the post of Prime Minister of Russia, TASS reports.

"Today, the debt burden is the lowest in the world — about 17 percent," the acting prime minister announced.

Separately, the official recalled the instruction that the Cabinet received from Russian leader Vladimir Putin. "The President has set a serious task — by 2030, Russia should enter the four largest economies in the world in terms of purchasing power parity," Mishustin announced.

On May 10, it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma Mishustin's candidacy for the post of Prime Minister of the country. Volodin noted that for the first time in the history of modern Russia, the State Duma will form the composition of the government, namely, approve its chairman, deputies, and federal ministers.
